Long time, no post! I’ve been a busy bee at uni for the last couple of months, but assignments are all almost complete, and then I finally have a bit of time to sit down and write! Today I’ve decided to just do a quick one – because E3 is around the corner (and conveniently my first week off), and I want to share what I’d love to see at E3 this year! There’s no Sony this year, which means The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima are off the table.
At the end of last year, Kogan very kindly let me borrow their insane 49″ Super Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor for a few weeks to play around with and talk about. It’s taken me a little while to get to it, but we’re finally here. I’m sadly writing this back on my old regular 24″ LG monitor, desperately missing the desktop space that I had, but also enjoying the desk space that I have. The Kogan 49″ Super Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor is a dream come true if you’re looking to build a PC on a budget; it sells for $1,099AUD (here, as of 18/02/19), so if you’re into Ultrawide gaming but don’t have the money to spend on something more extravagant, I think you’ll find what you’re looking for. I won’t say that the monitor is perfect in itself; it’s 1080p which I think is its greatest injustice, but for its price, and its size, anything higher is not only going to cost you more, but will also require a more powerful PC to use at the best of its abilities. If you’re building a PC on a budget, it’s safe to assume you’ll be fine with a 1080p monitor.
Well, we’re finally here. Welcome to Paris Vakarian Dot Com. This is it; my blog, my website, my little corner of the internet where I’ll be screaming about things that I love – and maybe even occasionally things that I hate. When writing was something I first wanted to do, having my own url that didn’t end in blogspot, or tumblr, or wordpress, was the height of having my shit together – and while I’m so far from having it all together, this is definitely a start. Every other blog post, review, rant, and whatever else I’ve word vomited into the digital world may all eventually pop up here, but at the moment this is a fresh start. It’s a relaunch of new words, new photos, and new exciting things that are coming that I’m not going to talk about anymore because it’s a lot of work and I’m at step 1 out of a few thousand. I’m a sucker for New Years resolutions and this little website is my No.1 focus – because we’re ignoring that I’ve been working on it since October 2018 and it’s going to be a New Year, New Blog kind of thing.
