Welcome to Paris Vakarian Dot Com

Well, we’re finally here. Welcome to Paris Vakarian Dot Com. This is it; my blog, my website, my little corner of the internet where I’ll be screaming about things that I love – and maybe even occasionally things that I hate. When writing was something I first wanted to do, having my own url that didn’t end in blogspot, or tumblr, or wordpress, was the height of having my shit together – and while I’m so far from having it all together, this is definitely a start. Every other blog post, review, rant, and whatever else I’ve word vomited into the digital world may all eventually pop up here, but at the moment this is a fresh start. It’s a relaunch of new words, new photos, and new exciting things that are coming that I’m not going to talk about anymore because it’s a lot of work and I’m at step 1 out of a few thousand. I’m a sucker for New Years resolutions and this little website is my No.1 focus – because we’re ignoring that I’ve been working on it since October 2018 and it’s going to be a New Year, New Blog kind of thing.

So what exactly can you expect to see here? Largely I’ll be here writing reviews, but you’ll also get to see all odds and ends in blog posts – like what I did this weekend, where I went, I may even throw in the occasional clothing post because I don’t think I’ll ever escape my fashion blogging roots. This is the abyss where I’ll be shouting my opinions on all things gaming, tech, pop culture, anything that really comes to mind, because I have a lot of things to say about a lot of topics and I need somewhere to put it all. This is documentation of the fact that I know how to string a few words together in to a nice coherent sentence, so that maybe one day my name will be published along side something undoubtedly emotional and full of commas that aren’t entirely necessary, talking about video games – because that’s it, that’s what I want to do. I want to talk about video games and everything that goes with it.

Who am I? My name is Paris, and despite the website title and handle I use across the internet, my surname isn’t Vakarian. Vakarian comes from only one of the best video game romances in gaming history; that of Garrus Vakarian and Commander Shepard. I’m Australian with a Swedish family – not that my dark hair and eyes would tell you that – and I’m a 90s baby. I love all things Marvel, Star Wars, Hideo Kojima, and PlayStation. I’m obsessed with Norse mythology, the occult, and practice witchcraft. I’m the living embodiment of “black is my happy colour” and I have two cats named Daisy and Ludens. Daisy is named after the Norse Goddess Freyja’s favourite flower, and Ludens is named after the Kojima Productions logo of Not-Norman-Reedus in a space suit. My favourite game of all time may potentially be NieR:Automata, with my following 5 being The Last of Us, God of War, Celeste, Portal (1&2), and Final Fantasy VII! But to be totally honest my list changes frequently as I go back and play older games that I love, and as new incredible titles come out! I’m a sucker for all things horror, I adore anything spooky, and I can’t wait to be covered in tattoos.

With 2019 around the corner I have a lot of exciting things coming up! First of all I’m officially a student again! I’ll be studying Media and Communications, which goes hand in hand with the big projects I have planned for this year! As well as this secretive project, over the next few weeks you can expect many a review from little ol’ me, such as:
– Razer Raiju Ultimate Wireless PS4 Controller
– Kogan Super Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor
– PUBG for PS4
– Spider-Man DLC
and more!

So this is it! The official introduction to me and my blog is over with and I think I’ve covered everything! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at parisvakarian@gmail.com or across various social medias. You can find me on Twitter and Instagram, and I hope you’ll be back to see some of the reviews and other things I’ve got planned!

Thank you for taking the time to read anything that I write.
Sincerely, your friendly neighbourhood Witch,
Paris
