Long time, no post! I’ve been a busy bee at uni for the last couple of months, but assignments are all almost complete, and then I finally have a bit of time to sit down and write! Today I’ve decided to just do a quick one – because E3 is around the corner (and conveniently my first week off), and I want to share what I’d love to see at E3 this year! There’s no Sony this year, which means The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima are off the table.
From the creators of my favourite game comes Cyberpunk 2077, a game that I’m unbelievably excited for. Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world, first person rpg, where I get to sink in hours upon hours of character creation for a character I’ll very rarely see. Cyberpunk looks incredible so far, and while I don’t think we’ll see a release date, I’m excited to see how the game has changed in the last year.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
My only hope for FFVII this year is a release date. I don’t care about a new trailer, I don’t care about it being episodic, I just want a release date! Final Fantasy VII is one of the first games I ever played, and one of my all time favourites, and the last Remake trailer blew me away. Please, Square Enix – give us a date.
Square Enix have already confirmed we’ll see Marvel’s Avengers at E3 this year, and I am unbelievably excited for more.
Beyond Good & Evil 2
Honestly, I cried at the Beyond Good & Evil 2 reveal. There’s going to be a livestream tomorrow at 2 am AEST for those in Aus – but I hope we’ll see something on the main stage at E3.
Pokemon Sword and Shield
Sometimes I think I’m over Pokemon… and the Pokemon news comes out and I’m 8 years old again, and Pokemon is life. I’m genuinely so excited for the next Pokemon game. Pokemon Let’s Go was what I always imagined Pokemon to be, so I can only imagine how Sword and Shield will build on that.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
In the beginning, I definitely wasn’t keen on the art style of the Link’s Awakening remake, but it’s grown on me as time has gone by. Maybe that’s because I’m desperate for a new Zelda game, or maybe my maternal instincts have kicked in and I feel the need to protect this smol boi, but I’m excited to see if Nintendo has anything new to share.
Jedi: Fallen Order
EA won’t be holding its usual press conference this year, and instead will be live streaming a bit earlier than everyone else. Jedi: Fallen Order looks amazing, but I’m a sucker for all things Star Wars and am excited about everything – so hopefully we’ll see some gameplay, and everyone else can be as excited as me.
Chances are, on any given day if you ask what’s going through my head – it’s the Doom soundtrack. Doom Eternal looks amazing so far, and I cannot wait for more.
Trust me, I’m surprised this is here as much as you. The only Halo I’ve played is some of Halo Reach, and the opening to Halo 4… but what can I say, the announcement trailer last year got me really emotional, and with The Master Chief Collection coming to PC, maybe it’s a series I’ll finally be able to get into and be genuinely excited for.
